Jolly Phonics Little Word Books provide children who are just learning to read with a gradual and structured start.

They give children the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge of letter sounds.

These books cover all 42 letter sounds across 14 books. The texts in the first two books use only decodable regular words made from the first group of sounds; the next two books use only the first and second groups of sounds, and so on.

Each of the 14 books has 12 pages, with approximately 1–2 words per page. The book size is 15 × 15 cm.
